Seems China would not allow anyone to access their blogs,everyone I spoke to said they were blocked from all blogs.Hmmmmmm.....dont know why,it just was so I am here to play catchup for those of you who would still like to see what went on while we were in China.So here goes..............
We landed in HongKong on Feb 15th but getting there was tricky.We left Detroit on the 14th and then we had a layover in Tokyo.David says no problem we have a whole 50 minutes,plenty of time.I should know better when he says those words.We got off our plane and had to go through security AGAIN....what do they think a person will do between going through US security and getting on a plane,sitting for 11 hours in a space just big enough for a small child,then get off said plane with just what you got on with,then going through ANOTHER security checkpoint.After that fun adventure of taking off belts,shoes,sweaters jackets and showing that you still have that same 5x7 baggie of toothpaste and hand sanitizer,we found that we had just barely enough time if we walked very fast(OK run)to our next gate.What we found out was the takeoff time for Chinese planes was just a suggestion.By the time we ran to the next gate we saw that they....we had a full 15 minutes before we get on that plane.Nope....we got there right as they were closing up the check-in desk.They dont wait for anyone.It was so much fun....but we did make it to Hong Kong at 10:30pm.We were met at the airport by Matthew.Nice guy that Matthew.He checked us into the Regal Hotel and wow....talk about a nice room.It was bigger then our first apartment!And the beds felt so good after sitting for so long.
